S'imbustu, Reinterpreted
The open back is framed by two hand-embroidered silk inserts, referencing s’imbustu, a traditional bodice element reinterpreted through a contemporary couture perspective. A flowing train extends the sculptural silhouette, echoing the geometric patterns and deep, vibrant palette of Desulo’s traditional costume.

A flowing train extends the silhouette, echoing the geometric patterns and rich color palette of the original costume. Intricate inlays — crafted in silk and traditional brocade — are assembled using an intarsia technique and finished with detailed silk embroidery.

The result is a sculptural, made-to-measure silk dress that merges heritage and modernity through precision, texture, and movement.
