An Ethereal Empire-Line
An ethereal, empire-line gown that brings together Sardinian textile heritage and refined couture techniques. Orgosolo is especially known for its strong visual identity, intricate embroidery, symbolic motifs, and the women’s costume (costume orgolese), which often features rich decorative elements, elaborate bodices, aprons, and textiles connected to local traditions.
Duchesse Silk, Organza Skirt
The structured duchesse silk bodice is paired with a flowing silk organza skirt, creating a light and elongated silhouette. The design draws inspiration from the decorative language of the Orgosolo apron, reimagined through a stylized floral motif inspired by the asphodel flower, a native element of the Sardinian landscape.
Pibiones — A Sardinian Weave
Intricate inlays in silk organza are layered with pibiones — a traditional Sardinian weaving technique typically used in carpets — introducing texture and cultural depth. Each element is carefully assembled and finished with detailed silk embroidery.
A Composition of Structure and Softness
Flared organza sleeves and a delicate micro-vest in duchesse complete the composition, adding structure and contrast to the softness of the dress.
